Athena Nadalin is a 26-year-old indie-pop singer-songwriter from Southern Ontario, currently based in Toronto. First being drawn to music by learning the guitar as a teen, songwriting has become second nature to Nadalin in the past few years as she’s dived into producing and releasing music professionally. Her fascination with the ability of lyrics to evoke and explain the human condition is obvious in her delicate and introspective writing style, akin to powerhouses like Taylor Swift and Olivia Rodrigo. Effectively mastering the English language and using it to evocatively depict and understand her own emotions has always been the greatest goal in her writing.
Nadalin released her first single “California” in April 2023 and has already released two studio albums. Her latest record, Girl Scout, mixes storytelling with modern pop-folk influences to depict a narrative of introspection, existentialism, and the desire for control. The record delineates Nadalin’s attention to detail and curiosity of heart, while defining her as an authentic, thoughtful artist.
She graduated with a Masters of Media Studies from Western Ontario University in 2022 where she became an avid performer in the London, Ontario area and has had songs chart on local radio. She now resides in Toronto and is having a wonderful time exploring, writing, and reading a lot of literary fiction and existential philosophy.
